Farsoon is excited to introduce the FS350M-4 metal production system to the global industrial market for commercial orders, after servicing in multiple Chinese serial production customers’ sites for nearly 2 years. As a proven cost-efficiency solution added to Farsoon’s medium sized metal 3D printing system portfolio, the FS350M-4 is equipped with an build envelope of 433×358×400mm and comes standard with quad 500-watt laser configuration. The FS350M-4 is ideal for medium to high volume series production of metal parts from a variety of industries such as molds, tooling, automotive and aerospace. The current material capability of powder materials including aluminum, titanium, maraging steels and specialized grades of stainless steels.
Productivity + Quality:
Equipped with advanced multi-laser scanning strategy and calibration algorithms, the FS350M-4 offers optimal build efficiency, and uniformed part performance throughout the build area.
Thanks to the latest process parameters development including variable layer-thickness, adaptive scanning strategies for infill and detail, the FS350M-4 is able achieve improved productivity along with excellent part quality. Take for example a shoe mold application, the FS350M-4 platform is capable of producing over 95% of all shoe sizes of one pair of shoe molds in a single build, with 60% higher build volume rates compared to other metal LPBF systems in its class.
Reduced Cost Per Part:
The new FS350M-4 is a high-value proposition metal system includes many design features to reduce the manufacturing cost. In large-scale AM production operations, the inert gas consumption is a large portion of the cost. The FS350M-4 features a highly efficient inert gas system; the purge process taking only 11 minutes. During the printing process, the inert gas consumption requires only 3-5L/min, which is significantly lower than the industry average.
The FS350M-4 is equipped with an integrated, advanced 3-stage filter module, featured a powerful back-flush function to ensure longer filter life which helps reduce the cost of the filter changes, in addition a permanent filter solution will also be available in the near future further enhancing machine uptime and ease of operations. The closed-loop Powder Management System, intelligent recoating control, and advanced layered gas flow design allow for higher material efficiency and reduced cost.
Compact + Ease of use:
The FS350M-4 features a machine footprint of 6 sqm with an integrated Filtration System. In an additive factory setting, FS350M-4 enables high density layout to achieve maximum throughput per floor area allowing for more efficient additive production layout.
The FS350M-4 is also featured with a high-efficiency top-feed powder system. Once the powder level in the container runs low, the equipped sensor will release a message for refill. The powder refill unit can be easily docked, enabling quick refill of the material without disturbing the build process.
During TCT Asia 2023 Farsoon also introduced two previously customized large metal LPBF platform FS1211M and FS811M-U to the wider China market. In 2021, Farsoon developed the two system by co-innovating with key industry partners for enhanced metal additive manufacturing capabilities. As of today, multiple units of the two models have been installed and succussed in supporting the series production of large-format components. FS1211 is equipped with an extended build envelope of 1330×700×1700mm and eight or ten 500-watt fiber laser configuration. The FS811M-U features a large platform 840×840×1700mm with eight 500-watt laser.
